
Movement Therapy for Parkinson's Disease
My classes offer a blend of yoga, strength training, and high amplitude movement that pushes back against the PD symptoms. Each movement modality offers different benefits for people affected by PD. We work on improving flexibility, strength, balance, stamina, gait and breath capacity. We also learn some basic relaxation techniques. I love to use different props to make the classes engaging and to provide variety for the body and the brain! I currently teach an in-person class in Walnut Creek and online group classes and see private clients in the East Bay.

Aging Well with Yoga Classes
In-person and on Zoom
The class is designed with the needs of seniors in mind. We work on strength, flexibility, balance, posture, breathing, and mindfulness. Modifications are provided so that everyone can safely benefit from the practices. I also incorporate some resistance training with bands to work on upper body strength.
In-person class is held at the Piedmont Community Center on Thursdays, 10:30am. It's called Aging Well with Yoga. You can sign up through the Piedmont Recreation Center.
